If you're not sure how to work these calorie-burning ingredients into your daily menu, start with these recipes. They all include at least one weight-loss superfood, and, best of all, they can be made in 30 minutes or less!
Ingredients
Cooking spray
1 cup chopped broccoli
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons feta cheese, crumbled
1/4 teaspoon dried dill
2 slices rye bread, toasted
Preparation
1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add broccoli, and cook 3 minutes.
2. Combine egg, feta, and dill in a small bowl. Add egg mixture to pan. Cook 3 to 4 minutes; flip omelet and cook 2 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with toast.
OVEN-ROASTED SWEET POTATO FRIES
YIELD: 4-6 servings
PREP TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes
2 medium sweet potatoes (about 6×3 inches)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
Heat oven to 425°F. Spray Baker’s Secret® Signature™ Large Cookie Sheet with cooking spray.
Scrub potatoes; pat dry. If ends are very thin and pointy, cut off and discard (or they will burn when
baked). Cut potatoes lengthwise in half. Cut each half into about 6 wedges; place cut side down on cookie sheet. Spray tops of wedges with cooking spray. Sprinkle with half of the seasoned salt, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until bottoms have golden-brown spots. Turn wedges; spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining seasoned salt, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bake about 5 minutes longer or until fork-tender.
